Speaking of plot holes. One thing that always bugged me is that the damage on the life pods all came from inside. The damage goes outward, not inward like it would if something attacked the pod. Animation error I guess.

Try following the Survivability Onion. 1. Don't be there: avoid clearly hostile places like the Dunes and the Void. Spend as little time as possible in the crash zone, the lava lakes, and other dangerous areas. 2. Don't be detected: silent running & ahead slow are your friends here. 3. Don't be acquired: if you notice a leviathan, stay away before they notice you. Alternatively, use a creature decoy. 4. Don't be hit: maneuver your vehicle or your seaglide left, right, up and down to avoid making physical contact with the leviathan. Use the perimeter defense system, the drill arm, or the stasis rifle. 5. Don't be hurt: bring plenty of medkits. Bring a repair tool and make sure it has battery. 6. Don't be killed: flee the leviathan as soon as possible. Do not linger. Evacuate the sinking cyclops or abandon the seamoth.
